Philadelphia Energy Benchmarking Expands to Residential Buildings

Earlier this month, Philadelphia City Council voted unanimously to expand the city’s existing energy benchmarking program to include multi-family facilities over 50,000 square feet. The change will impact more than 800 buildings, which will soon have access to metrics comparing their energy performance to similar buildings locally and nationwide. More details on this program for multi-family building owners, operators, and tenants will be posted at www.phila.gov/benchmarking this summer.
